Handcrafted with Purpose
Every great story starts with a blank page and the right tool to write it. For me, that tool has always been a pen. To many, a pen is just an everyday object. But to me, pens hold a profound significance—they capture our deepest thoughts, sign our life-changing commitments, and connect us across distances.
The story of ahhandcrafted truly began when I was preparing for an upcoming sabbatical. Anticipating the open time ahead, I knew I wanted to channel my energy into learning something new. I had always possessed a deep love for woodworking, and I was captivated by the art of the lathe.
That is when the pieces clicked together. I decided to combine my lifelong appreciation for pens with the tactile, rewarding craft of woodturning.
From a Hobby to a Heartfelt Gift
I stepped up to the lathe and began shaping raw wood into fine writing instruments, custom bottle stoppers, and unique handcrafted handles. What started as a sabbatical project quickly transformed into a passion for creating meaningful, tangible gifts.
There is something incredibly special about giving a gift that carries a story. I started sharing these pieces with the people who meant the most to me. As the joy of gifting grew, so did my vision for what these pieces could represent for others.
Expanding the Craft
To bring even more depth to these creations, I eventually introduced custom laser engraving into the workshop. This allowed me to expand beyond the lathe, adding personalized touches to custom gift boxes, coasters, and cutting boards.
Every single item created here is rooted in connection. Whether I am crafting a fine pen, a custom board, or a keepsake for my own daughter and family, the goal remains exactly the same: to create beautiful, functional art that honors the milestones and people in your life.
